General and Skilled Labour

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and hard-working Labourer to join a busy commercial site in Sutton and London. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with site experience to support a fast-paced construction project with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Moving and distributing materials, tools, and equipment
  • Site cleaning and tidying, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Loading and unloading deliveries
  • Erecting and dismantling temporary barriers or signage
  • Always following site health and safety rules
  • Supporting supervisors and skilled trades as needed

Requirements:

  • Previous experience on a construction or commercial site preferred
  • Valid CSCS card, any required training will be paid for
  • Good attitude, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of manual tasks, must have safety boots

Carpenter

Job description

We are looking to hire a skilled and reliable Carpenter with experience in both first fix and second fix carpentry to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and enjoys working on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities

First Fix Carpentry: - not limited to the following description

  • Construct and install roof structures, including rafters, trusses, joists, and battens
  • Frame walls, floors, and ceilings to specification
  • Fit door and window frames accurately
  • Install staircases and structural timber elements

Second Fix Carpentry: - not limited to the following description

  • Hang internal/external fire/non-fire doors and fit ironmongery (handles, locks, hinges, kickplates, overhead door closers)
  • Install skirting boards, architraves, and other decorative trims/dado rails
  • Box in pipes and cables neatly and efficiently
  • Fit kitchen cabinetry, shelving, and built-in furniture
  • Complete roof detailing, including fascia boards, soffits, and cladding

What We’re Looking For

  • Valid CSCS card, any required training will be paid for.
  • Proven experience in roofing and general carpentry
  • Strong knowledge of first and second fix techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Skilled with hand and power tools
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude, as well as the ability to work autonomously
  • Full UK driving licence with own vehicle
  • Own tools – dust extractor class M is a must

Pay: from £220.00 per day(8hours) DOE; paid fortnightly, weekend work available.

Experience:

  • Carpentry: 5 years
